After designing websites on WordPress for the past 6 years, moving to Showit has been one of the best decisions I have made for my business. As much as I love WordPress and the freedom it offers, there have always been areas that have been less than ideal.
Here are my top 6 reasons to fall in love with Showit…
Design freedom
This is defo the top one in my list, the freedom that comes with designing on Showit is incredible. It offers a complete blank canvas to create on. The drag and drop platform with the ability to place elements wherever you want is a creatives dream. I’m excited about designing… which TBH is the way it should be.
Full mobile design control
You’ve probably encountered issues with websites that are not mobile friendly, whether its been your own or someone else’s. Weird stacking or overlapping, being way to tiny because its just a shrunken version of the regular website, just being a nightmare to navigate or not being able to close pop ups. With Showit you have complete control over the mobile design, so you can make sure that the web experience is top notch wherever its viewed from.
Intuitive platform
The Showit design app is really easy to navigate. Like any new space it helps to get to know the layout, but everything is clear and concise. It’s not overwhelming. Updating things like images and text is so easy, which makes it the ideal choice if the thought of updating your website makes you feel nervous.
It links with WordPress
The fact that Showit actually incorporates WordPress for blogging, makes it even more appealing. Showit controls the design aspect while WordPress handles the blog and just pulls through the design from Showit… it’s super clever. When you have a blog, as well as the Showit account, you also have access to a WordPress dashboard, which TBH you only ever really go into for adding new blog posts.
The tech side is handled by Showit
You don’t need to purchase hosting or in fact deal with it anyway, as Showit has this incorporated into the subscription. Hurrah!
Amazing customer support team and learning hub
Oh my… the support team are just so helpful! If you get stuck with your website, you can send the team a message from within the design app, and a lovely human will get back to you. They also have a searchable learning hub, breaking everything down into easy to understand chunks.
Fancy testing it for yourself?
They offer a free 14 day trial (no card needed), so you can get a feel for the platform.
